A Chasm In Time
The Chair
Such a fascinating piece of furniture it is. In my previous art pratice I perceived the chair as a symbol of rest. But The Chair stands for much more. It is that piece of furniture that holds your procrastination somewhere in the corner of a room; It is also a piece of furniture that holds power; ‘The Chair’ despite being one thing manifests itself in multiple meanings.
It is for you to relate – unrelate, get close – become distant, need – disregard. It is in our perception what the chair could mean to us- singularly or collectively. You think.
Rest, Procrastination, Power, Stop-gap, Style Statement, Necessity, or just a piece of furniture.
What is it?
Politics of Existence
Privilege. Often so casually accepted. Often turning into entitlement.
The realisation missing. The layers in which we exist, there is a hierarchy.
Shh. We don’t talk about it. Because it is my privilege which is now entitlement.
The Dichotomy Of Existence
Duality of life, in existence, in behaviour, in thought process. We live them, sometimes even strive despite of them. Often the dichotomy of existence adds the layers, making it difficult to find the genesis. Or do we have two points of birth, two points of genesis? Two epicenters. Or one epicenter spanning into two worlds, one from here and one from there. Perhaps this duality is what makes us humans. Challenges us. Mocks us. Makes love to our soul; teasing, tempting, riveting.
This Dichotomy of Existence.
From My Lenses
What I see is what I believe, what I believe is what I paint.
Colours tell a story, of existence, of fruition, of longing, of rejection.
They speak with the soul through the eyes. Peering into what we are.
Egging us to think, bare our souls to what we experience.
The now and the beyond.
The reality and the perception.

Isolation
The world crumbled to the threat of a virus, isolating itself from fellow humans to protect themselves against an impending doom. Did we damage the non apparent in a bid to save ourselves. We caged our souls and surrendered our freedom.
What remains is a hope, for a world that has conquered the monster that threatened our health. But have we conquered the monsters within. Those that lurk in the corners of our existence, whether we are physically isolated or unfettered.
Have we isolated the fears? Or have we given them air, to flair us and consume us. For the physical preservation have we sacrificed the mental stability? Is this Isolation to our benefit or dereliction?
Essentials
Exploring the 5 essential elements that support life.
Air, Water, Fire, Earth and Aether.
These do not just make the body but also make the soul.
The one that we know and the one that we seek.
Of Unspoken Words
Have there been times in life when you haven’t spoken when you wanted to?
Or
Just said half the truth to save yourself from heartache?
These instances of life leave bookmarks in the story of your life. Ever so prominent and accessible in your memories. Some filled with amusement some with regret. This encapsulates life, when you sit with a cup of coffee or a drink
and look back at life, reflecting over the what-ifs and the could-bes.
Within
Inner Circle, Outer Angst...!
Inclusion; is it important?
Exclusion; can be a blessing!
Happiness; is regardless.
Frustration; is manageable.
#NoteToSelf
Life teaches us lessons. Constant reminders of what, how, who we shall be.
We tend to forget these lessons as we lap up what life has to offer and get on with it.
#NoteToSelf is that constant reminder of what is important in the larger scheme of things.
Write to yourself.
Leave notes.
Remember.
Reconnect.
Rebuild.
Improve.
Continuum
Life is a play of time and space.
Placement and displacement.
Moving from one stage of being to another.
Continuum studies that existence,
of travelling through time and space
and carrying your dreams and aspirations,
your integral soul through the process.
