What does it mean to be truly free? Is it the ability to do whatever we want, whenever we want? Or is it something more?

I believe that true freedom is not about being able to do whatever we want, but about being free from the things that hold us back. It’s about being able to live our lives without fear, judgment, or limitation.

Here are 6 things that we need to practice to be truly free:

Freedom from judgment: We all want to be accepted and loved for who we are, but it’s hard to feel truly free when we’re constantly worried about what other people think of us. The first step to freedom is to let go of the need for approval and acceptance. We need to learn to accept ourselves for who we are, flaws and all.

Freedom from bias: We all have biases, but they can hold us back from living our best lives. When we’re biased, we make decisions based on our preconceived notions, rather than on the facts. This can lead to discrimination, prejudice, and other forms of injustice. To be truly free, we need to challenge our biases and learn to see the world through a more objective lens.

Freedom from other people’s opinions: It’s impossible to please everyone, so why should we even try? We need to learn to let go of the need to control other people’s opinions of us. What matters most is what we think of ourselves. When we’re free from the opinions of others, we can truly be ourselves and live our lives on our own terms.

Freedom from stress: Stress is a major obstacle to freedom. When we’re stressed, we’re not able to think clearly or make rational decisions. We’re also more likely to make impulsive choices that we later regret. To be truly free, we need to find ways to manage our stress and live more relaxed lives.

Freedom from uncertainty: Uncertainty is a part of life, but it doesn’t have to control us. We can choose to embrace uncertainty and see it as an opportunity for growth. When we’re free from uncertainty, we’re more likely to take risks and try new things. We’re also more likely to be open to new experiences and perspectives.

Freedom from expectations: Expectations can be a major source of stress and unhappiness. When we have high expectations for ourselves or others, we’re setting ourselves up for disappointment. To be truly free, we need to let go of expectations and accept things as they are. When we’re free from expectations, we can enjoy the present moment and appreciate the good things in our lives.

True freedom is not something that we achieve overnight. It takes time, effort, and practice. But it’s worth it. When we’re truly free, we can live our lives to the fullest and be our best selves.
